Discuss how Modeling and Scaffolding affect in the child's learning porcess
Discuss how Modeling and Scaffolding affect in the child’s learning process.
We are now in the 21st Century of teaching generation; therefore, it is a must that we teachers should be able to adopt the changing time. Modeling and Scaffolding are one of the strategies that our teaching system is following, through demonstrations and hands-on activities. Now, scaffolding is the process in which the help of a facilitator, parent, or even an advanced peer is the guide of a learner to learn at a certain level. It affects the learners learning process especially in acquiring new knowledge from the scaffold, moreover it also exhibits a great change in processing information, and for example, there is a greater chance to learn in a short span of time, because scaffolding promotes learning by doing. Thus, learning can be faster through scaffolding and modeling that these learning strategies use Direct Purposeful Experiences. On the other hand, in modeling, there is also what we call Latent Learning, in which a learner learns from a certain model by observing the characteristics and behaviors of the model. Learners learn by imitating the model and try to perform the actions of the model. It affects the learning of the learner because there can be a misinterpretation of the models action that may cause the model to follow. Child’s learning are clearly susceptible to change and may be affected through his understanding, that is why teachers role is to use these teaching styles appropriately to his/her students.

Learning and development is a social, collaborative activity. and The Zone of Proximal Development can serve as a guide for curricular and lesson planning.
Learning and Development is a Social and Collaborative activity
People can learn by observing the behaviours of others and the outcomes of those behaviours. The theory connotes that an individual learn by observing and also through collaborative activity. Most teachers use the strategy of Brainstorming that helps their interpersonal and cognitive abilities as well. According to the principle of student diversity, the classroom is “a market place of ideas”, which concludes that collaborative works can help augment the higher order thinking of the students.
Social learning explains human behaviour in terms of continuous reciprocal interaction between cognitive, behavioural, and environmental influences. There is also what we call Latent learning whereas an individual sees a model and learns thoughts and ideas by imitating the characteristics that help the individual develop his metacognition. The social cognition learning model asserts that culture is the prime determinant of individual development. Humans are the only species to have created culture, and every human child develops in the context of a culture. Therefore, a child’s learning development is affected in ways large and small by the culture–including the culture of family environment–in which he or she is enmeshed.
The Zone of Proximal Development can serve as a guide for curricular and lesson planning
.
ZPD, is the difference between what a learner can do without help and what he or she can do with help. The term "zone" is that at a certain stage in development, children can solve a certain range of problems only when they are interacting with people and in cooperation with peers. Once the problem solving activities have been internalized, the problems initially solved under guidance and in cooperation with others will be tackled independently. The notion here seems to be that one's latent or unexpressed ability could be measured by the extent to which one profits from guided instruction. This can be interaction with peers as an effective way of developing skills and strategies; it suggests that teachers use cooperative learning exercises where less competent children develop with help from more skilful peers - within the zone of proximal development. Vygotsky believed that when a student is at the ZPD for a particular task, providing the appropriate assistance (scaffolding) will give the student enough of a "boost" to achieve the task. Once the student, with the benefit of scaffolding, masters the task, the scaffolding can then be removed and the student will then be able to complete the task again on his own.

My Philosophy as an Educator
“Human is condemned, nobody can save him. His inconsistency is rampant and his evil deeds and weaknesses always prevail. Human never admits defeat, though he faces life with uncertainty. He beholds on his wit and intelligence, he keeps on fighting although defeated. There is great indignation in human. I am anti human. And yet, I am a human.”
An Educator carries the future of a person, the community, the region, the nation, and of course the World, because without studying Education, life would be useless. I believe that ALL students regardless of race, ethnicity, socio-economic status, religious background, and/or any other classification are deserving of a holistic education. This holistic approach would include an education that will allow them to fully discover themselves, their strengths and weaknesses, and benefit from necessary real world/real life instruction. Furthermore, this type of approach would expose students to cultures and experiences that they otherwise would not have the opportunity to encounter. I believe a good teacher, first, has a powerful faith in the future.
The good teacher knows and understands students, how they develop and learn. I know that students actively construct and transform their own knowledge based on past experiences and prior learning. I know that students do not all learn in the same way or at the same rate. I believe it is my responsibility as a teacher to be an effective diagnostician of students’ interests, abilities, and prior knowledge. I must then plan learning experiences that will both challenge and allow every student to think and grow.
I believe that as an Educator, we are the one who will build there confidence inside the classroom, we are the one that will be there guidance throughout there academic career. An Educator will be the facilitator of the diverse students that play their roles within the classroom; it is our responsibility to help them speak out their thoughts for a Facilitator considers the classroom as “the market place of ideas”. I believe a good teacher must also understand motivation and the effects of peer interactions on learning. I want all my students to achieve at high levels, so I avoid sorting them and setting them up to compete with each other. I know most learning happens through social interaction; therefore, I structure learning so that students productively collaborate and cooperate with each other the vast majority of class time.
The good teacher must know her subjects and how to help students learn those subjects. I know the good teacher must have a deep appreciation of how knowledge is created in the discipline, how it is organized and how it is linked to other disciplines. I use my knowledge of the discipline to expose my students to modes of critical thinking, encouraging them to analyze, apply, synthesize, and evaluate all they read and hear. I love the subjects I teach, and I know how to make them come alive for my students. I eagerly and willingly learn from my students as they learn with me. I believe a teacher is the most powerful of role models. I am ever aware of the awesome obligation I have to “walk my talk” with my students.
I believe a teacher lives to serve. A teacher is dedicated to learning, to his or her discipline, to his or her students, and to making the future the best possible place for all of us to live. These are the challenges I accepted when I chose to be a teacher. I remain committed to them, a teacher who is willing to sacrifice to ensure that their students achieve not just at the present time, but also for a lifetime!

...you are my "sanctuary"...
SANCTUARY
Callalily
I know i can never be enough
But i'll always be here
I know that my word are simple and shallow
But i mean everything is say and do
I know i don't have a diamond ring
To put on your finger
But i will see to it that we'll always be together
REFRAIN:
And i thank you from the bottom of my heart because
CHORUS:
You are my light, you are my home
You are my sanctuary
You are me peace, you give me hope
You are my sanctuary
You are my better half
You taught me things that i need to know
And you made me re alize
That life is not just a simple song
(REPEAT REFRAIN)
(REPEAT CHORUS)
(ADLIB)
CHORUS:
You are my guide when i am lost
you are my sanctuary
You are my heart that keeps me alive
You are my sanctuary
You are the kiss that makes me strong
You are my sanctuary
You are the warmth when i feel cold
You are my sanctuary
My sanctuary
